HWC has a global reach and a desire to bless TCK's and students from around the world who have arrived at our doorstep. We partner with HU's Interconnect Program to assist with needs specific to international students:

TRANSPORT
Foods and ingredients from around the world aren't within walking distance of Houghton, so we recruit church members to provide transport opportunities. Whether you want a taste of home or just basic school supplies, we want to help you get it!
SUMMER
STORAGE
Houghton University does offer returning students free storage for your dorm stuff over the summer break. However, it is somewhat limited in amount and what items are permitted. If you find yourself with something extra or that HU won't store for you, let us know and we can find a location for it over the summer.
DINNER
INVITATIONS
When you are far from home, being welcomed and cared for is *so* important. Whether it's an invitation to a local home for dinner, or an invitation to use someone's kitchen because you'd like to make your own favorite food, we're here to help make it happen.
HOUSING ON
BREAKS
On short academic breaks (for example, American Thanksgiving) you may not be planning to go home or travel elsewhere. There is often university housing available, but if that doesn't work out or if all your friends are gone and you would be happy for time with a family rather than being alone, we can probably find a home where you can stay!
